Automatic LFG ("the bot") forms groups of players in Looking For Group channels on Discord. It is operated and hosted in France and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is not affiliated with Discord; your account and messages remain governed by Discord's own Privacy Policy.
When you post in a channel an administrator has configured for matchmaking, the bot adds you to that channel's queue. It uses your Discord ID, the time you joined, and whether your status is online or you are connected to a voice channel, so that it only groups players who are actually available. When a group is formed, the bot mentions the players in the channel, creates a thread for them and sends each of them a private message linking to it.
This data is used solely to run the matchmaking service. The legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, namely providing the service that the server and its members are asking for. You may object to this processing at any time, and you can leave a queue at any time using the button provided.
If you send a direct message to the bot, it is forwarded to the operator so that support requests can be answered, and the operator can reply to you through the bot. Please do not send sensitive information this way.
Queue data is kept only while you are in a queue and is erased once you leave it or it expires. Channel settings are kept for as long as the bot is configured in that channel. Answers to the optional survey shown when you leave a queue are recorded only as anonymous totals and are not linked to you.
No data is sold, shared for advertising, or disclosed to third parties. The only parties involved are Discord, which supplies the events and receives the messages the bot sends, and the bot's French hosting provider. Data exchanged with Discord reaches the United States under the safeguards set out in Discord's privacy policy.
You have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or port your personal data, and to object to the processing described above. Anything concerning your Discord account or message history must be addressed to Discord. Where the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents have equivalent rights; the bot does not sell or share personal information as that law defines it.
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in France the CNIL (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority where you live.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will reflect the most recent changes.
